Description: For sale is a vintage Sansui model 2000 stereo receiver / amplifier. This unit is tested and works, as far as I can tell. All of the audio adjustment knobs (bass/treble/volume/balance) are very staticy and scratchy and you have to get the knobs adjusted *just right* for audio to come out of both channels and sound correctly. This is pretty typical for vintage audio and can be fixed by spraying contact cleaner into the potentiometers that control each thing. I also noted the lamp on the front display is burned out and needs replacement, and the wooden case is very scratched and worn. The text on the SELECTOR knob is partially worn off. It needs a good cleaning throughout, as well and may need other minor service things like new caps, etc as I have not examined the inside. This would be a very simple restoration project or a great source of parts!
