Vintage Heavy Leather Attache Briefcase 18" Wide Military??

Description: I’ve had this stored for many years, and no longer know where I got it, I’ve another briefcase from my dad’s time in the Air force (retired early 60s), just not sure about this one. At any rate, it looks in really nice condition, no major damage, no split seams, handles look great, thou it does show its age with spots here and there. The most wear I’ve noticed is on the leather on the lock flap. I don’t know how old the bag is. I don’t know the combination to the lock, so not snapping it closed, I figure you might be able to set it from the back, but I haven’t looked into it. The leather has specs and spots, but no major damage. Outside seems all heavy leather except the band around the opening doesn't seem to be. The coating over the gold tone lock pieces, lacquer?, is peeling away. Not including the handles it’s about 18” wide and 13-1/4” tall, and expanded is about 8” at the bottom. 2 handles each attached by square rings so they can easily move. I didn’t find any label or marker indicated on the leather. Please read the description and look at the photos closely, they are of the actual items being auctioned.
