Description: You are bidding on an AUTOPOINT mechanical PENCIL that advertises UNION CARBIDE Cooling Systems. It is a Calendar Pencil for 1961 that shows all 12 months. It has the date on the calendar part between the months of March and April. You probably know that AUTOPOINT was a very GOOD and well known maker of mechanical pencils among other things. The pencil, as you can see, has the Union Carbide insignia on it in green. The Cooling System and Maintenance Pays script is in red. The calendar is mostly green with only May accentuated in red. Maybe you know the significance of the month of May--I do not. Getting back to the pencil, it is well made by the AUTOPOINT company whose name is on the pocket clip. The pencil is 5.5 inches long and works very. You will like the pencil if you collect them. The Union Carbide name is prominently displayed in case you collect advertising items by UNION CARBIDE. I am sure that the pencil came with a box but I do not have it. The winner must pay for the item within 2-3 days after the auction ends or ebay will send a reminder to pay the bill.
