It is stamped 'Steel Ebonite', which was their term for hard rubber. This is a "NEW YORK" era piece, the most desirable period for this manufacturer. The facing number "G7" is stamped on the top, and the tip opening measures 1.14mm (.045"). This mouthpiece is in very good used condition. The tip, table, and rails are smooth, and original. There are no tooth gouges on the beak. There is light scratching on the exterior. The rubber is faded/discolored, but the logo/markings are clear. Instead of a cork, this mouthpiece has an odd ribbed plastic gasket on the shank. I've seen these a few times before. It seems to do the trick, but I imagine most players would prefer a traditional cork. I'll leave that for the buyer to decide though. This mouthpiece has been cleaned/sanitized.
