This battery pack is rated at: 3000 maH 3.6 volts, Ni-MH, 3-cell construction and rechargeable. Each battery pack fits into the calculator case very nicely. See the pictures for directions on how to install the battery pack. The foam holds in this battery pack as it is very snug inside the calculator. This auction offers NiMH cells for environmental and recharging cycle reasons. NiCADs have a memory effect (google for details) and are bad for the environment. The NiMH tends to last longer in use and can be recharged many more times. TO INSTALL: Just like the original battery pack. I use a handle of the fingernail clipper to install and remove. It pops out very quickly Each battery pack is free-replacement guaranteed for 30 days. First Time Recharging: Be careful the first time you recharge the battery pack. Charge it for 30 minutes and see if the battery pack is warm. If it is warm then only recharge it for 60 minutes, then check it incrementally every hour. It will be fully charged when slightly warm. It should charge as recommended by the Texas Instruments Users Manual. Recharging: Your TI adapter will recharge the battery pack many times. A fully charged battery pack should last for about 1 hour +/- of continuous use. The TI adapter/charger will recharge the battery pack faster if you turn off the display, yet will also charge it with the display on. These batteries will completely recharge through your plugged in TI adapter. It should be rechargeable many (200 ish) times. Battery Storage: Please protect your beautiful TI calculator! All new rechargeable battery packs will eventually leak a corrosive acid that may harm your calculator. If you are not using the calculator for a long time, please consider removing the battery and place it in a sealed plastic bag. These devices are just too awesome to risk any potential damage.
