This was Hitchcock's first American project and his first film under contract with producer David O. Selznick. It was nominated for 11 Oscars and won for Best Picture of 1940. This poster is from the first re-release of the movie in Belgium after the end of the war in Europe (probably early 1950's). It features the same wonderful artwork used for the original Belgian release poster from the mid Forties. It is in very good, folded condition and seldom comes up for sale or auction. DESCRIPTION: Rebecca (1940), Selznick International Productions, Directed by Alfred HitchcockCOUNTRY OF ORIGIN / SIZE: Belgium 14.25" x 22" CONDITION: Good to Very Good Untrimmed Folded Condition. Untrimmed top white border has minor crinkling along with the remnants of a former snipe. Additional minor crinkling and a small diagonal crease in the surrounding border edges. Artwork is vivid and completely intact. This poster has been stored flat for the past few years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
