Contact Us!71 5557 1 68 8 Description:1 impossibly rare Meiji era through World War II Japanese Naval Divers' School Dirk available. This dagger, among the rarest of Japanese dirks, would make an important addition to any collection. Included with this rare dirk are a cap and armband with the same waves logo/design that appears on the backstrap and pommel of this dirk. This dirk is early--a brass colored saya/scabbard hanger, like on this dirk, is found on the earliest of Meiji era swords and dirks. Note too the hand engraving on the backstrap. This dirk measures 15 5/8" overall. The blade itself measures 10 5/16". This is an impossible to find early Japanese dirk. Condition:The blade has just the expected minor carbon staining. One of the cherry mekugi is missing. The handle wire is missing. The cap and armband are in excellent condition. We BUY Japanese swords and whole collections!
