Description: Wonderful !Vintage SEIKO men's watch,a.k.a. "Doctor", It is called this because with the help of the rotating inner bezel, the pulse can be measured... Original Japan made, January 1972, according to serial number. Automatic chronograph, Cal 6139 B - 6022,17 jewels. It is the first year that SEIKO used this caliber, 6139 B, from 1970 to 1972 the caliber 6139 A was used. Clean, silvery dial with applied indexes Day & date, with quick setting, functional. The crown adjusts the day/day by pushing in (lightly for day, harder for date). The crown also controls an internal rotating bezel. 30 minute subdial is at 6:00 and there is a central chronograph seconds hand. The chronograph works very well, it starts, stops and resets to zero. The glass is not the original one (Acrylic). It is made of plexiglass, and has a small sign next to 3 o'clock. Also, the bracelet is not the original one. But it is a vintage one, from the same period, beautiful, in good condition. All stainless steel. Screwback case, waterresistant (NOT TESTED !!!)40 mm in diameter.The mechanism is superb, clean, works very well ! Very beautiful and rare wach ! ***Wonderful, rare collection piece ! ***The watch looks good for it's age, minor signs of use, general condition is ok !
