Description: A nice LARGER 7 1/4 inch tall rectangular-shaped clear-glass RARE - 12 OUNCE SIZE antique OWL DRUG Co bottle. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the early 1900's. Bottle embossed: "The Owl Drug Co." on back shoulder, then on the front it has a LARGE embossed picture of an owl (1-wing) perched on a druggists' mortar, stirring a pestle. The mortar is embossed with, "TODCo / TRADE MARK". TODCo = The Owl Drug Co. Condition: Bottle is in good sturdy condition. It has scattered cloudy content stain and the age wear of a dug bottle, including the tiniest sliver of glass missing from the base edge. Otherwise NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. See pictures for overall idea of appearance and condition. For whatever reason, these 7 inch tall, 12 ounce size Owl Drug bottles are very hard to find. Even some of the advanced Owl Drug bottle collectors don't even realize this size exists because they've never seen one. Yet it is clearly a different size, as the next larger size up is the 8 inch size, and the next smaller size down is the 6 1/2 inch tall, so it isn't a case of it being just a shorter wider bottle or taller narrower bottle, it is a distinctly different size which go from 10 oz. in the 6" size to 12 oz. in this 7" size, to 16 oz. in the 8" size. This bottle was in a large Owl Drug bottle collection we purchased and has been in a box for literally decades. It has a nice looking bird embossed on this one, a RARE bottle to find, check it out!
