Description: Pair of Late 19th Century French Bronze Chenets / Andirons. A remarkable pair of antique French andirons. So many intricate details that I can’t list them all. Some of the most beautiful andirons I’ve ever seen Beautifully decorated with a floral and ribbon design. These are in very good condition for their age Each chenet/andiron measures 10.5" wide at the bottom feet x 21" deep with legs x 22" high. A bit dusty and has some dried polish throughout. I didn’t try to remove. Because of the polish and fire soot, it’s hard to see but entire chenet is bronze including finials. Only log legs are cast iron. Heavy quality that won’t dent easily. Weighing approximately 11 lbs each. Bronze with cast iron legs/ log holders 4 detailed finials I don’t see a makers mark Came out of a very old historic home in Maryland. They are well used and the good condition shows how durable this pair is. Quality that will last a lifetime Took photos inside and outside to show the details in different lighting Will ship disassembled so it won’t get bent. Very easy to put back together.
