Description: Junk Culture is the fifth studio album by English electronic band Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD), released on 30 April 1984 by Virgin Records. The band retained much of their early experimental approach but embraced a wider range of influences than previously, drawing inspiration from pop, dance, Latin and black music. It became OMD's fourth consecutive Top 10 album in the UK, and has been named as one of the best releases of 1984. Junk Culture spawned four singles, including the UK Top 20 entries "Locomotion" and "Talking Loud and Clear", and the club hit "Tesla Girls". The recording up for bid is a 1983 US release by A&M Records under license from Virgin Records and was manufactured by Electrosound Group Midwest, Inc. The recording consists of 10 tracks with a run time of 43+ minutes. The cover is in VG+ condition with only mild evidence of disc wear on the front and back covers (see photos). There is no significant wear on the edges or corners. There is a moniker in the upper right corner of the back cover indicating FOR PROMOTIONAL USE. The covers retain their gloss and there is no discoloration to the artwork or graphics. The paper inner sleeve is original and is intact. Both sides of the sleeve include track information, lyrics and production details. The recording has been cleaned, tested and recorded using Audacity. All tracks are free of skips and the sound is strong and clear. There is no background noise, even in the quiet spaces between tracks. The disc surfaces are free of wear and retain their gloss. The recording qualifies as VG+/EX along Goldmine standards of grading.I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY.
