Our new TIKKA Hunter is a classically-styled Ultra Carbon hand laminated sporting riflestock. Weighing in at just 24-27 ounces it is the lightest, handiest classic for the demanding Tikka rifleman. These should prove to be the among most accurate Tikka stocks on the market. It is inlet for the Roughtech/Alpine (D18) barrel contour. Stocky's Take: We fit the Tikka models very tightly to our over-the-counter rifle, there is literally no slop, so visually make sure it is bottoming in the inlet. When you first set in your barreled action into place that is probably the first thing you will notice. Because the recoil lug is seperate from the receiver, getting it seated correctly is of primary importance. With your recoil lug bottomed in the stock, you must have at least about 0.070" protruding into the receiver slot to be considered acceptable. Ideal is 0.0800" to 0.0900".
