Description: For sale is a very nice lot of 15 Franklin Silver Half Dollars, all in very nice AU (almost uncirculated) grades. The Franklin Half Dollar was minted between 1948 to 1963 until it was suddenly ended with the minting of the Kennedy Half Dollar after his death. Most Franklin dates in average circulated condition are just worth their silver value, but the great thing about this lot is they are all high AU grades. The lot also has a good mix of dates, including a 1948-D--the very first year, and a 1955, which is a key date of the series! And like all Franklin Halves each coin is 90% silver and the lot totals just about 5.5 ounces of pure silver! All mentioned above all coins in this lot are AU grades. They all have their original mint luster, and some are very close to being full MS uncirculated. Some of the coins will have some toning here and there but none of the coins have any excessive damage to them or cleaning. The dates in this lot are 1948-D, 1952-D x 2, 1953, 1954, 1954-S, 1955, 1957, 1957-D, 1962-D x 2, & 1963-D x 4.This is a great set of silver coins to add to any rare coin collection. Thanks!
