Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Johnny Mathis titled "Heavenly", originally released in 1959 by Columbia Records, then reissued between 1965-1970 with red labels, that have "COLUMBIA" in white at the top, along two white CBS logos, looking like "Eyes", one on each side of the center hole on the outside of the label's rim, commonly called "2-Eye" Columbia labels. At the bottom of the label is "360 Sound STEREO 360 Sound" printed in white with arrows on either end. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album into an archival inner sleeve. I always put my new records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. Inside the dead wax, between the last tracks and the labels is machine stamped an upper case "T", along with a lower case "o", followed by an etching of the matrix numbers 2-FE/2-FG, indicating that this record was mastered at Columbia Records' Customatrix before later stampers were used to make this record at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, with superficial sleeve marks, hairline surface scratches and spindle marks on the labels, but without any scuffs or smudges. I'm play grading this record as Very Good because of occasional ticking and surface noise, more evident during the quietest sections of playback, but not over-powering the vocals or music. It plays all the way through without any pops, lock-ups or skips from start to finish. The cover is graded as Very Good because of corner blunts, ring wear, edge rubs and stress cracks along the spine The spine has damage at one of the corners, resulting in paper loss and fraying. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have other Pop albums, as well as records of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
