Description: Handmade Piñata Custom Inlay Cowboy Boots SZ Men’s 8D / Women’s 9.5 Pair #14, 2021 made by me, a New Mexico bootmaker, Jes Márquez. I just had to make Piñata. These were my “going out” boots for a few outings. Completely hand sewn leather inlay, including vamps and counters. Each colorful piece of leather is hand skived and layered to create the burro Piñatas. Cholla cacti inlay vamps with a different “candy” on each foot. I sort of thought of the “background” as White Sands National Monument. Full leather lining, hand sewn welts, steel shanks. Lemon wood pegs, leather insoles, leather outsoles. A very vibrant and tall “stovepipe”. They were another experience going through the bootmaking process with the goal of “feeling” out lasts around my size and straight vs. customized built lasts. This was my 14th pair, all noted on inside of boot. Piñata was built on a USA Men’s Size 8 D. (Equal to a USA women’s size 9.5 D). They are sold with an “AS IS” fit, with fitting details below to serve as a guide. Please ask questions and inspect photos. This is a pre-owned pair of boots and a handmade object. There is a small ding on one toe point. I constructed this pair without pull straps. Please note: the boot last is NOT included in the sale. They are shown for reference only. Last Measurements: Short Heel: 33.5 CM Ball: 23 CM Foot Length (not including the point) fit for 26 CM (possibly plus a tiny tick). This is the drawn straight line measurement of the total weight bearing foot length from center of bottom of heel to the center tip of the big toe on a sheet of paper. Boot shaft height: 14” inches Top of shaft circumference: 15” inches Heel height: 1.75” inches I enjoy making cowboy boots that surprise people and continue to do so. Experienced shipper.
