BETTINI Vintage Italian Blue Suede Deadstock Overcoat, Raglan Sleeves SZ M/L NWT

Description: This blue suede coat from Italian leather goods maker Bettini is made from a very soft and lightweight sueded leather. It has the hallmarks of vintage 1980s design with shoulder pads, raglan sleeves with cuffs, and a full back. Both sides of the coat have two long walking vents that are closed with functional buttons. It also has two pouch pockets and closes in front with four buttons. Inside the neck of the coat is a flap of suede that can be folded over the collar to keep the collar clean (see photos). The lining has a colorful, jazzy print in what appears to be synthetic of some kind. The size is labeled Italian 46 (among others), which is approximately equivalent to a size 10 in vintage apparel. Measurements confirm the size of this coat is in the 10-12 range after adjusting for the extra room that an overcoat needs to have. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size and compare with a similar garment that fits you.*Note: The price of this coat on the tag is 590,000, presumably in Itailan lira (from before Italy adopted the euro). I did some digging using the value of the lira in dollars in 1985 and converted the 1985 price to $1190. If the lira and the USD experienced the same rate of inflation until 2024, the current price of this coat hypothetically would be $3449.
