Description: Antique 9ct Rose Gold Bar Pin Brooch - Plain - 1900s Edwardian - 38.0mm Solid 9ct rose gold. Hallmarked “9ct” The bar pin brooch is in very good condition for its age. It is showing some minor wear and a few finer scratches. The bar pin brooch dates to the early 1900s. It is handmade and dated to the Edwardian period. The gold purity of this bar pin brooch has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 9ct rose gold (37.5%) It is slightly bent, has what I can best describe as a stepped bend on the front face. The bar pin brooch has never undergone any repairs. No modifications have been made to this brooch. The pin is in good condition. It is heavily gold plated with a brass base metal. The front face is solid gold. The pin latches properly and does not fall open. No engraving. Plain and simple design. Excellent craftsmanship. The brooch is 38.0mm in length. Width of the brooch is 1.9mm. The pin is 30.0mm in length and it has a diameter of 1.0mm. In perfectly wearable condition. Will be posted with a jewellery pouch.
